The utilized data analysis to hypothesis testing is non parametrics such as Mann Whitney U Test Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and Standart Gain. The result of this study showed that (1) Taking note strategy influenced students rsquo listening comprehension. That statement was able to be seen in descriptive statistic. Descriptive statistics yielded the mean score of pre-test in experimental group that was 71.76 %. On contrast mean score of post-test score in experimental group yielded 88.49 %. In Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test the experimental group obtained 0.001 lt 0.05 so H0 is repeled and H1 is received. The researcher granted the conclusion that taking note strategy affected of the mean scores in pre-test and post-test after implementing the treatment in experimental group. Applying Standard Gain experimental group also granted the enhancement in pre-test and post-test. This group rsquo s score was higher than control group. Experimental group gained 67.31% and control group attained 45.42%. The score of experimental group showed that effect of taking note strategy toward students rsquo listening comprehension was pretty effective.
