Certainty of Response Index (CRI) Pendidikan merupakan salah satu cara untuk memajukan suatu bangsa namun pendidikan di Indonesia masih banyak terdapat masalah salah satunya adalah masalah pemahaman konsep yang rendah terlebih lagi pada mata pelajaran IPA yang termasuk mata pelajaran Biologi. Pada biologi banyak memiliki konsep-konsep serta banyak menggunakan istilah asing sehingga dapat mengakibatkan miskonsepsi pada siswa. Miskonsepsi bukanlah hal sederhana yang mudah diabaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Miskonsepsi dapat menghambat proses pembelajaran selanjutnya karena konsep-konsep antarmateri pada Biologi saling terintegrasi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada guru SMA Negeri di Kota Malang materi genetika merupakan materi yang sulit dipelajari di SMA karena memuat banyak sekali konsep yang harus dipahami secara keseluruhan serta banyak mengandung istilah-istilah asing yang akhirnya mengakibatkan terjadinya miskonsepsi pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan tingkat pemahaman siswa XII SMAN di Kota Malang yang tahu konsep tidak tahu konsep dan mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi Genetika serta menjelaskan pada Kompetensi Dasar berapakah siswa yang paling banyak mengalami miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan instrument berupa soal pilihan ganda disertai dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Hasil analisis menujukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri di Kota Malang 42 16% paham konsep 32 37% mengalami miskonsepsi serta 30 5% siswa tidak paham konsep materi Genetika sedangkan Kompetensi Dasar yang paling banyak mengakibatkan siswa mengalami miskonsepsi ialah KD. 3.4 dengan persentase sebesar 40 96%. Berdasarkan analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa CRI efektif digunakan untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi. 8195 SUMMARY Prastyo Didik Dwi. 2017. Keywords Misconception Genetic Certainty Response Index (CRI) Malang City Education is one way to advancing the nation but Indonesian education is still have a lot of problems one of them is low understanding in concept moreover science subject including Biology. Biology has many concepts and using many foreign term that can lead student to misconception. Misconceptions of simple things are easily overlooked in the learning process. Misconceptions can hamper the next learning process since the biological concepts in Biology are integrated. Based on the results of observations in high school teachers in the city of Malang genetic material is a material that is difficult to learn in high school because it contains a lot of concepts that must be owned as a whole and many contain meaningful terms. The purpose of this study is to explain the level of understanding of students of SMAN XII in Malang who know the concept do not know the concept and experience of misconception on the material of Genetics and explain to the basic competence of students who suffered most misconception. This research is descriptive research uses the instrument of multiple choices test with the Certainty Index Response model (CRI). The result of the analysis shows the level of skill of the students of class XII of SMA Negeri in Malang City 42.16% understand concept 32.37% have misconception and 30.5% student do not understand the concept of Genetics material while Basic Competency which most students Misconception is KD 3.4 with a percentage of 40.96%. Based on these data analysis shows that CRI is effectively used to identify misconceptions.
