Keywords ideology singularism pluralism Many scholars assert that the book series of Harry Potter is among one of great literary works of modern times since many characteristics of the series could be elaborated. As it is considered as a great literary work of modern times many scholars are motivated to dig deeper into the complexity inside of the stories and among many complexities J.K. Rowling s also presented two important ele-ments as in many heroic stories good and evil. In this thesis the writer studies the battle of ideologies in the series of Harry Potter. To that the writer defines Voldemortian singularism and Hogwartian pluralism as the main problem in the series. The objective of the study is to find the most righteous ideology in the wizarding world seeing from ideological point of view by comparing the Voldemortian ideology and Hogwartian ideology using impartial analysis to determine which ideology is the most righteous one to use in Wizarding World. As ideology both will be examined from their apparatuses its role and how they work. The apparatuses from Hogwartian ideology are Harry Potter Albus Dumbledore and Order of the Phoenix while the apparatuses from Voldemortian ideology are Lord Voldemort Death Eaters and Lucius Malfoy. A text is always guided by the author s ideology. This study is conducted without taking any sentimental point of view to minimalize any fallacy in under-standing a text regarding the author s ideology. The common mistakes happen to all readers when they give value in reading Harry Potter for example spreading blasphemy torturing and killing people are considered as evil deeds and rescuing people imprisoning bad people and saving the world are considered as good deeds. This study shows that neither Hogwartian ideology nor Voldemortian ideology cannot be determined as the most righteous ideology since both ideolo-gies basically preserve their own tradition. By having apparatuses it can be con-sidered as an effort to maintain the existence of their traditions. Whether it is us-ing violence or non-or-counter-violence actions to spread their ideologies all ef-forts are justifiable as long as their efforts effective to keep their ideology stay in existence.
