Abstract

This research was conducted to find out 1) students rsquo behavior upon watching English animated movies 2) students rsquo perception of English animated movies and 3) students rsquo responses toward English animated movies. This is a survey study with questionnaires as the instruments. Open-ended questionnaire was analyzed using descriptive statistics while close-ended questionnaire was analyzed using quantitative content analysis. The research findings show that the majority of students (23%) watch English animated movies on daily basis. All students watching English animated movies for approximately 60 ( plusmn 45) minutes a day. The perception and response score were 18 ( plusmn 4) and 15 ( plusmn 3) out of 24 respectively. English animated movies affect students rsquo response heavily and it helps students to learn English. It can be concluded that students perceive English animated movies as vocabulary learning tools positively.
