Keywords design comic competition Datascrip Creative Comic Competition 2017 This design primarily aims to complete thesis courses and fulfill the requirements in obtaining a Bachelor of Design degree majoring in Visual Communication Design. The design of the Pelosok Merah Putih comic was mainly used as a material for participation in the Datascrip Creative Comic Competition 2017 held by PT. Datascrip. The results of the comics that have been made will be used as product promotion material for the company namely PT. Datascrip. Another goal besides this it to convey a positive message to the people who read it as well as provide actual information about domestic conditions. The community is expected to be more loving in the culture that exists in the Indonesian homeland and also pay attention to its condition. PT. Datascrip is a company that is an official distributor of Wacom products in Indonesia. PT. Datascrip held a comic competition entitled Datascrip Creative Comic Competition 2017 to promote its product to the public in Indonesia. The Datascrip Creative Comic Competition 2017 is also held to find talented young comic artist in Indonesia. This comic competition takes the theme I Love Indonesia with the main goal of making people aware in Indonesia including the comic artists themselves to love the cultural diversity in their homeland. On this background the design of this Pelosok Merah Putih comic was created. Systematics design used in the design of the Pelosok Merah Putih comic is a design model in the form of procedural descriptive namely the design model that follows the steps or stages that already exist. This design model uses the procedure of designing Japanese manga or comics described by Shuichi Mochida and Taiyo Nakashima on a comic article Manga Classroom Japanese Manga 101 on the official website of the Silent Manga Audition. This Pelosok Merah Putih comic is a silent comic without dialogue that has 24 pages of content one color cover page and one episode that is finished. This comic uses the dominant grayscale color and a little red as a point of interest to convey the message in its contents. Comics are printed in book form with A4 paper size (29.7 cm X 21 cm) with portrait format bound by softcover. The content page on the comic is printed with alternating HVS 100gram paper and Krungkut paper for the front cover page. The reading format in this comic is from left to right and from top to bottom.
