Diploma Three Library Study Program. Indonesian Literature Department. Faculty of Literature. Malang State University. Advisor: (1) Titik Harsiati, M.Pd Keywords: school library, collection material School library is a library that is in the instasi of the school and is a provider, manager of library materials, and the realization of school educators. The purpose of writing this thesis is as follows: describe (1) the types of collections utilized by students of SMA Negeri 1 Karangan Trenggalek, (2) the forms of utilization of collection materials by students at SMA Negeri 1 Karangan Trenggalek. The method used in this task is a qualitative descriptive method, to describe facts - facts and information in an intellectual way. This research data in the form of type of collection, form of how to use the collection. The data source of this research is in the form of catalogs, circulation, librarians, and students. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, interviews and questionnaires. documentation data collection technique is done by taking data in the form of notebooks and stored documents. Interview is a data collection technique by asking a number of questions to students and library staff. The data collection through questionnaires is done by spreading questions to students. The results obtained from this study are as follows, The first types of collections that are utilized are, (a) non-fiction collections, (b) fiction collections, (c) reference collections, (d) serial collections. Both ways to use the collection collection by (a) reading on the spot, (b) borrowing.
