ABSTRAK Fatmawati Arie Setyo. 2008. Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMA Laboratorium UM Pada Materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Melalui Tutor Sebaya. Skripsi Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Jurusan Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Malang. Pembimbing (1) Prof. Dr. H. Ipung Yuwono M.S. M.Sc (2) Drs. Eddy Budiono M. Pd. Kata kunci Tutor sebaya prestasi belajar. Persoalan yang sering timbul dalam belajar adalah banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar. Dan hal ini akan berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa yang rendah. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya suatu metode pembelajaran yang tepat. Salah satunya adalah pembelajaran melalui tutor sebaya. Maka peneliti mengadakan penelitian tentang prestasi belajar siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linier melalui tutor sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prestasi belajar siswa yang dirinci dengan mendeskripsikan hasil tes belajar siswa mendeskripsikan hasil wawancara berbasis masalah mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa serta mendeskripsikan hasil pekerjaan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium UM. Data prestasi belajar diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar wawancara berbasis masalah lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa dan hasil pekerjaan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari hasil tes belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa 81 57% siswa memperoleh nilai yang memenuhi SKM. Dari hasil wawancara berbasis masalah menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa dapat menguasai materi tentang sistem persamaan linier dari lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa menunjukkan bahwa taraf keaktifan siswa adalah sangat baik. Dan berdasarkan hasil pekerjaan siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan sistem persamaan linier melalui beberapa metode penyelesaian. Peneliti menyarankan sebaiknya pembelajaran melalui tutor sebaya dapat dikembangkan terus dan dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran. ABSTRACT Fatmawati Arie Setyo. 2008. Keyword Peer Tutorial Learning Achievement The frequent problem occurred in learning process is there are a lot of students who finds difficulties in learning. And this condition will effect on a low learning achievement of the students. Therefore necessary to a method of learning the right. Which one is learning through a peer tutorial. So the researcher performed of experiment about the student learning achievement in linier equations system material through of peer tutor. Representing of this experiment to description of the student learning achievement which detailed with description the result of the student test to description the result of interview based on the problem to description the student activity and to the description the result of the student work. This experiment is descriptive. The subject of this experiment is the student on the first class in UM Laboratory Senior High School. The learning of achievement data is obtained from the result of the student test the result of interview based on the problem the piece of perception student activity and the result of the student work. Pursuant to the result from the experiment that already doing can conclude that from the result of the student test show that 81 57% the score of the student fullfiled the SKM. From the result of interview based on the problem showed that some of the student can understanding the material about linier equations system from the piece of perception activity of the student showed that activity level the student is very well. And from the result of the student work showed that the student can finished the linier equations system through some of solution methods. The researcher advice the best way to learning through the peer tutorial can development and made as the learning alternative.
