Abstract

Quality is the overall of product characteristic and marketing engineer purchasing and conservancy making product fulfill costumer expectation. Statistical quality control represent technique is a problem solving to monitor controling analyzing managing and repairing process and product by using statistical methods. To control the quality of an product can use an Six Sigma methods. According to Manggala ( 2005) Six Sigma can interpreted by continous effort to reduce waste reduce varians and prevent defect. Sigma Six represent a business concept to answer customer demand about best quality and business process which without defect. Six Sigma have five process phase that is Define Measurement Analyze Improve and Control. In this thesis at phase Measurement used by cability process sixpack (normal distribution) and I-MR chart obtained spesific gravity Final Boiling Point recovery at 200oC and Flash point all process in a state of in control but some of variation of process still out of spesification this matter shown with value Cpk index which still under 1 for the Final Boiling Point got value Cpk index equal to 2.15 meaning variation of process state of in control. For the calculation of DPMO obtained spesific gravity with DPMO equal to 4397. For the calculation of DPMO Initial Boiling Point obtained DPMO equal to 2401. For the calculation of DPMO Final of Boiling Point obtained DPMO equal to 0. While for recovery at 200oC obtained DPMO equal to 17003. And for the Flash Point obtained DPMO equal to 640576. So that at the time of Analysis got that Flash Point have especial priority to be repair. Phase Improve in this skripsi only representing writter idea to increase the quality of production so that phase Control cannot be done. In the end of Six Sigma method can help The Oil and Gas Educational and Training Centre Cepu to know defect faster a product so that faster is also done repair.
