Abstract

ABSTRAK Qhikam Nihru. 2017.GayatriRajapatni dalamEkspresiKeramik Relief Representatif Skripsi JurusanSenidanDesain FakultasSastra UniversitasNegeri Malang. Pembimbing Dr. Ponimin M. Hum. Kata Kunci Gayatri keramik relief karya simbolik. Gayatri Rajapatni adalah istri ke 3 dari Raden Wijaya raja pertama kerajaan Majapahit. Gayatri merupakan sosok di balik layar yang memiliki andil dalam perjalanan kejayaan Kerajaan Majapahit. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dari beberapa tulisan di kitab Nagarakrtagama dan bangunan candi Bhayalango. Gayatri diarcakansebagai Prajnaparamita (Dewi Kebijaksanaan) setelah wafat. Peran Gayatri semasa kejayaan Kerajan Majapahit yakni mampu mendampingi sang suami (Raden Wijaya) dalam memimpin kerajaan. Sepeninggal suaminya Gayatri Rajapatni juga mendampingi dan membimbing putrinya Tribhuanotunggadewi sampai cucunya Hayam Wuruk dalam memimpin Kerajaan Majapahit. Kesetaraan gender telah ada sejak zaman dahulu di tanah Jawa. Melalui sosok Gayatri kita dapat mempelajari bagaimana perempuan di masa lalu yang dapat turut andil dalam pemerintahan. Intrik serta percaturan politik yang Gayatri lakukan mampu mengantarkan Kerajaan Majapahit pada kejayaan. Namun sangat disayangkanbanyak masyarakat yang kurang mengenal sosok perempuan bijaksana tanggungjawab sederhana serta penuh cinta kasih sayang tersebut. Penciptaan ini bersumber ide dari Gayatri Rajapatni yang merupakan tokoh dibalik kejayaan Kerajaan Majapahit. Sumber ide diekspresikan secara simbolik dalam bentuk karya kreatif keramik relief. Langkah-langkah dalam penciptaan keramik relief adalah perenungan ide penyempurnaan ide pemantapan ide dan proses penyelesaian. Dalam proses penyelesaian terdapat beberapa proses di dalamnya yakni (1) mengolah ide menjadi sebuah konsep karya (2) pembuatan sketsa-sketsa pilihan (3) menentukan sketsa terpilih dan (4) pembentukan/aktualisasi menggunakan media tanah liat. Proses pembentukan menggunakan beberapa teknik yakni teknik pilin pijit dan cetak tekan. Body keramik sebelum dibakar dalam suhu sekitar 800 C haruslah dikeringkan secara bertahap. Setelah dibakar karya melewati tahap finishing sebelum siap untuk dipamerkan. Tujuh karya keramik relief ditampilkan menggunakan media estetik berupa titik garis bidang warna dan tekstur. Karakter karya keramik relief berupa panel-panel dengan bunga dan daun pada latar belakang. Tekstur berupa garis-garisputusdisajikanuntukmemvisualisasikan aura dandramatisasikisah. Hasil penciptaan keramik relief diharapkan dapat memberikan pengalaman baru bagi penulis dan pembaca dalam berkarya seni.Karyatersebutdiharapkandapatmenjadipemahamanmengenaimaknakearifan sikap Gayatri Rajapatni sebagai tokoh perempuan yang mempunyai andil besar dalam Kerajaan Majapahit. Advisor Dr. Ponimin M. Hum. Keywords Gayatri relief ceramic symbolic works. Gayatri Rajapatni is the third wife of RadenWijaya the first king of MajapahitKingdom. She is theperson behind the triumph of Majapahit Empire. This could be proved through some writings in Nagarakrtagama book as well as the building of Bhayalango temple in the manner of Prajnaparamita (wisdom goddess) statue as her embodiment after her quietus. The role played by Gayatri in Majapahit kingdom was being able to accompany her husband RadenWijaya in leading the kingdom. After the death of RadenWijaya Gayatri guided Tribhuanatunggadewi her daughter later her grandson Hayam Wuruk in leading Majapahit. Gender equality has been carried out in Java since the ancient time. Through Gayatri we learn the ability of a woman involving herself in the triumph of MajapahitEmpire although male were dominating at that time. Intrigue and politic settings done by her turned into Majapahit triumph. Unfortunately people are not exposed to this wise responsible humble and kind figure Gayatri. The idea of this creation comes from Gayatri Rajapatni a queen that contributed in the triumph of Majapahit Empire. The idea is symbolically made into ceramic relief as the media to create and express. Creation steps are idea meditation idea execusion idea consolidation and finishing. Finishing process thats any saveral steps are (1) processing idea to the artwork concept (2) making sketchs (3) fix the sketch and (4) ceramics forming. Forming steps using some technique thats all coil pinching and molding. Before ceramics body burning more or less 800 C (earthenware burning) must dried gradually. After that artwork in finishing process until ready to exhibition. Seven creations were presented through aesthetic media in the form of dot line shape color texture that suit the concept. The character of relief ceramic is panels along with flowers and leaves in the background. Dotted line texture is to visualize the aura and story dramatization. The final product of relief ceramic is expected to bring new experience for the writer and readers in making ceramic. It is also expected to turn out into the writer s comprehension of DyahGayatriRajapatni as the heroine who played a big role in Majapahit kingdom also as the role model to young women regarding gender equality and wisdom.
