Thesis.Department of Mathematics Education Postgraduate of State University of Malang. Supervisors (I) Dr. Abdur Rahman As ari M.Pd MA. (II) Prof. Drs. Gatot Muhsetyo M.Sc. Keywords student worksheet open-ended approach creativity. Nowadays student worksheets has not yet been widely encourages student to think creatively. Therefore teaching materials containing open-ended problem needs to be developed to achives learning of mathematics that can educate students to think creatively. The purpose of this research is to develop valid practice and effective student worksheets with the course of the polyhedron especially rectangular parallelepiped and cube. Creativity can be reviewed from three indicators of the ability of creative thinking which known as fluency flexibility and novelty. The subjects of this research are 26 students of 8th grade class VIII D MTsN 1 Malang with heterogeneous ability wich have received course polyhedron especially rectangular parallelepiped and cube. The development model is based on Plomp development model it consist of (1) preliminary research (2) prototyping phase dan (3) assessment phase. The worksheet as a result form the development were validated by two validator consist of one mathematic lecturer and one mathematic teacher from MTsN 1 Malang. Moreover the worksheet was tested to 26 students of D class eight grade of MTsN 1 Malang. According to data analysis reasercher obtains result as follows (1) the validity score of lesson plan and students worksheet are 3 43 and 3 13 respectively (2) the practicality score of students worksheet is 3 17 (3) the effectiveness percentage of learning instrument is 77% students get final score greater than or equal to 82 and there are in Quite Creative . By this result the developed open-ended student worksheet is valid practical and effective. Despite the fact that the worksheet has been declared as valid practical and effective a revision based on the suggestion of the validator and test results are still applied to improve developed product perfection.
