Abstract Education is a fundamental problem in which education plays an important role in human life in education there will be full of knowledge and information can be utilized to interact with other. Language is also an important part of an education. Where language is a means of relating or interacting all important in society. This study uses a classroom action research design (TOD) that is collaborative research that is acting as a teacher immediately while the classroom teacher as an observer. This fieldwork aimed to (1) describe the application of learning to write essays with media images glow to teach third grade students of SDN Pojok Klitih 1 how to write a narrative essay with the help of media image glow (2) describe the narrative essay writing skills improved with the help of the media uses the radiant image namely from (a) in terms of content writing (b) the form of essays (c) style and (d) spelling and punctuation with the help of media image series of grade 3 student SDN Pojok Klitih 1 Plandaan. The experiment was conducted at SDN Pojok Klitih 1 Plandaan Jombang District with the object of research amounting to 13 student. Known student who have not completed the study increased from the pretest to the each cycle before the pretest result amounted to 9 students (20%) to 7 student or 53.6% in cycle 1. The next cycle of action 1 to cycle 2 also increased the average tenure 62.4% to 71.5%. Best knowledge of students who are not yet fully studied decreased from cycle 1 has 7 student (53.6%) to 2 student or 15.3% in cycle 2. On in other words their mastery increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 the six students or 46.1% to 11 students or 84.6%. in this study we can conclude that the use of media images can inhance students ability glow in writing a narrative essay. Learning to use the media image series can also create an atmosphere of fun and be active in student leaning in the classroom. Advice to teachers the teaching should not just teach and the monotony of learning media. As an elementary school teacher should be more careful in the selection of a variety of media to engage student actively in learning and to increase student knowledge.
