This study was a descriptive research in the form ofcase study. The subjects were the students ofgroup B (the higher grade) the English teacher the school principal and the students parents. Data were collected through interviews observation and the use of questionnaire then they were descriptively analyzed. Some findings werep resentedu sing tabulationsa nd percentages. The findings showed that the aim of the teaching of English was to introduce English as another means of communication and to make the students familiar with English_beforest udlng in elementarys chool so that they would not havea ny sigmficant diffrculties in their leaming. Al Kautsar kindergarten did not have English syllabus. The teaching of English was based on the list of materials referred tothe topics in the 1994 Kindergarten Basic course outline. The qualification of the Engiish teacher in generol was still lacking. Her educational background was not engn r education and she neverjoined seminars trainings or workshops on teaching English to young learners. Furthermore her pronunciation needs improving and heiteaching attitude requires improvement as well. The materials which were introduction to English words were not creatively presented.T he techniquesw ere monotonous.T he media were not various and rarely used. The evaluation conducted did not serve nl_elsanst ituation.T he problemsf aced by the English teacherw ere teachingb oredom which was rooted in the unvaried teaching materials and the big class size. Apart from that the.students parents gave positive attitude toward the teaching ofEngiish and supported their children s leaming of English. The findings indicited that th teaching of English at Al Kautsar kindergarten was stiil insufficiently implemented
